Peace Cafe - Healthy eating is the focus of this all vegetarian restaurant.

For healthy eating, this vegetarian restaurant is the place in Siem Reap to head for. Sitting

at tables nestled among the trees in this natural setting, you can relax while sipping fresh fruit juice, or a yogurt shake. The home-cooking menu includes a variety of Khmer, European and Asian vegetarian dishes.

For breakfast, crepes are the specialty, along with a delicious caffe latte or cappuccino. For lunch, Panini with feta cheese, roast peppers and hummus, or a veggie burger with fries and a fresh garden salad are definitely on the menu. For the main course, vegetarian shish kebab, or spaghetti might tempt your tastebuds. For an unusual taste treat, try the fusion nachos in the Munchies section. Asian food specialties served are Amok, Thai curry, sushi, tempura, and onigiri. To top off your meal, home-made desserts include cakes, cookies and ice cream.

Prices at Peace Cafe are very reasonable, with prices for fruit juices & shakes at $2.00, salads $2.50 - $4.00, munchies $1.00 - $4.00, Asian food $2.00 - $3.00, Pasta $2.50 - $3.50, and desserts $1.00. Asian and Australian beer is also available.

The Peace Cafe is not only the place for good vegetarian food, but is also a meeting place for people in the community, as well as travelers. They offer vegetarian cooking classes, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga meditation, Pilates, Monk Chat, and free Khmer, English, German, and French language classes. They also have an Information and Eco center, a Fair Trade Shop, a reading lounge upstairs in an old Khmer style house, and free WIFI. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 8am to 9pm.
